The most exciting band on the Norwegian
rock scene! The band Kaizer's Orchestra have had a tremendous
success since they released their debutalbum in September 2001.
Within the first 3 months, the band was established as Norway's
most exciting liveact, and journalists from all over Norway have
used all their imagination trying to describe the music and the
feelings it creates.
VG, Norway's biggest newspaper gave the debutalbum six out of six
and wrote:
Kaizer's Orchestra's debut album is no less than the Norwegian answer
to Tom Waits "Rain dogs"! Norwegian lyrics.
"Ompa til du dør" ("Ompa till you die")
has sold more than 90.000 copies, which in Norway qualifies for
a platinum trofè.
The band was nominated for 2 Spellemannpriser (Norwegian Grammy),
and won the award for "best rock album". They also won
2 Alarm-awards, the underground version of Spellemannprisen.
The band have also had success in Denmark, where their debutalbum
was released in August 2002. Kaizers Orchestra has toured Denmark
several times, and the Danish newspaper Jyllandsposten have nominated
Kaizers concert at the Roskilde Festival as the best concert in
Denmark in 2002.
Their latest album "Evig pint" was released February
3'rd, 2003, and received the platinum trofè imediately after
release, and the also won the Norwegian Grammy for best video for
the title track.
Kaizers Orchestras has toured all over Europe several times.
